cake decorating

I had the opportunity to take a cake decorating class here for a few Saturdays, and made these fun cakes. They're the first ones I've ever decorated on my own, so don't laugh but it is something I've always wanted to learn how to do. When I was little my mom always made us beautifully decorated cakes for birthdays and special occasions. Baking these kind of cakes here is an up and coming thing so a lot of people are wanting to learn. Many weddings here are just starting to have western style wedding cakes. So maybe I'll have to opportunity to teach what I've learned with some local friends here.
