The other (other) white meat?

A few nights ago we were walking from our neighborhood complex past a little restaurant that had quite a different dish on the menu for the evening.

Dog meat is not all that common here, but every once in a while you will see a restaurant that specializes in it, or a person selling it on the street. It is actually quite ironic to see this cut of meat at that particular restaurant, because just across the street there is a big market that sells dogs as pets.

Apparently the dog ears must be a popular item because they were one of the first parts to sell. I kept telling myself it looked like the big bad wolf from the children's story The Three Little Pigs. That made me feel not quite as bad seeing it sitting there on a platter.
